This won’t stay news for long, we assume, given that as soon as a critical mass of two to three Bugatti Chironhypercars seep into the wild, every smartphone-wielding, slack-jawed bystander each car passes will be snapping photos and videos. This video, posted to the Supercars of Austria YouTube account, happens to beat the rest of the internet to the depiction of a new Chiron idling and revving its quad-turbocharged W-16 engine.

As far as future pseudo-genres go, “Bugatti revving” is sure to be a hit, but more importantly this video gives us our first taste for what the new Chiron will sound like. As you can hear in the clip below, the Bug sounds mean, alternating between a deep burble at idle to a raspy, violent bark at higher revs. The videographer managed to capture this video as the Chiron show car—we are fairly confident that we’ve seen this very same car before—was being unloaded at the Vienna Motor Symposium. The event may sound boring, but actually is quite interesting. With the addition of the mighty Veyron’s successor, we imagine this year’s symposium will be that much more engaging.
